Rex started his mission to pioneer Filipino cuisine in the UK in 2014. His journey began by running a series of successful popup restaurants in London to show case Filipino flavours in an effort to educate the British public and feed their curiousity.

In 2016, the British born Filipino embarked on a 3 month culinary research expedition to the Philippines to gain an insight and understanding of the food and culture and to build a deeper connection with his roots.

The chef and aspiring entrepreneur currently continues to popularise the cuisine tthrough his startup food business; 'TURO TURO', an award winning Filipino barbecue and street food stall with ambitious plans to open its very first restaurant in London.
